Privacy notice for Einmal erklärt

This privacy notice describes the processing of personal data in version 1.0.0 (version code 4) of the Einmal erklärt Android app.

Last updated: 13 September 2026

Scope

This notice applies exclusively to the Einmal erklärt Android app with the package ID de.lormalibulabs.einmalerklaert. The app requires neither a user account nor sign-in. It does not offer cloud synchronisation and uses no developer backend for guide content.

The general website privacy notice applies to processing that takes place when the Lormalibu Labs website is visited.

Content processed locally

All guide content is processed and stored locally in the device's private app storage. Lormalibu Labs does not receive this content, and it is not transferred to a developer backend.

This content may include:

  • selected photos and screenshots
  • guide titles and recipient labels
  • step text and its order
  • arrows, circles and other editing information
  • creation, modification and status information
  • PDF and image output generated locally

Image selection and permissions

Images are opened only after the user deliberately selects them through the Android system picker and are then copied into private app storage. The app has no general access to the entire media library. It does not use the camera or microphone, and it requests no broad read or write permission for external storage.

The app includes the standard permissions android.permission.INTERNET, android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and android.permission.VIBRATE, as well as an app-specific signature-protected receiver permission. android.permission.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW is not included. The internet permission does not mean that user content is transmitted: guides, photos and step text are not sent to a Lormalibu Labs server.

Users should not include passwords, one-time banking codes, complete payment details or other secrets in their guides.

Sharing and export

PDF and image output is generated locally on the device. Sharing begins only when the user deliberately uses the Android share sheet. The user chooses the target app and recipient; Lormalibu Labs receives no copy.

Once content is handed over, the privacy terms of the selected target app or service also apply.

Storage and deletion

Guides can be deleted from within the app. When the app is uninstalled, Android generally removes its private app storage.

Files that have already been exported or handed to another app are outside the storage controlled by the app and must be deleted separately there. Lormalibu Labs cannot view, restore or centrally delete local content.

Device protection and backups

The app does not implement additional application-level encryption for locally stored content. Protection depends on the device lock, Android encryption and the other security features of the device being used.

Android app backups are disabled in the current app configuration.

Advertising, analytics and external services

The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking services, and it sends no crash reports to Lormalibu Labs. There is no cloud synchronisation and no developer backend for user content. The version described here also has no integrated payment processing.

Support enquiries

When a user contacts Lormalibu Labs by email, the information they provide voluntarily is processed to handle the enquiry. Depending on the nature of the enquiry, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is handling and documenting support enquiries.

Support emails are retained only for as long as necessary to handle and document the enquiry or meet legal obligations. Google is used as the email service provider. Further information is available in the Google Privacy Policy.

Your rights

Where the legal requirements are met, rights include access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. There is also a right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.

Lormalibu Labs has no technical access to app content stored only on the device. Lormalibu Labs therefore cannot view, rectify, transfer or delete that content.
